#45 - The Innkeepers (2011)

This movie was interesting.  It was slow and we really didn’t get to see a lot of the scary ghost stuff, but what worked was the delivery.  It was spooky waiting to find out that the noise was just a bird.  What was scary was the wait.  It did leave a lot of unanswered questions.  That kind of ticked me off.

#44 - Annie Hall (1977)

Great movie.  I really liked it a lot.  Diane Keaton was fabulous.  I can’t believe it took me so long to actually see this!

#43 - Night of the Comet (1984)

Crappy little zombie flick.  I expected more.  I thought Catherine Mary Stewart was going to do quite a bit of ass kicking.  Unfortunately no.  It dragged on and was incredibly boring.  C’est la vie.

#42 - Hercules In the Haunted World (1961)

Ever since MST3K, I’ve been a sucker for the Italian Hercules movies.  They suck so much, I can’t help but love them.  Needless to say, this was horrible.  It was interesting seeing a 39 year old Christopher Lee.

#41 - Tang Shan Da Xiong [The Big Boss] (1987)
OMG!  Yes, I started with OMG.  I love Bruce Lee!  Hey bad guy…  Consider your ass kicked!  Loved it!  There were only six Bruce Lee movies ever made.  Seven if you want to count stock footage.  This officially makes three that I’ve seen.  I can’t see how anyone can hate Bruce Lee.  I promise there will be more Bruce Lee before this year is out.

#40 - The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987)

Wanna know why I watched this?  Because it was Petey’s birthday tonight and we talked about GPK’s.  I then thought, “I have never seen that movie.  I should watch it.”  I wish I had seen it as a child.  I really wanted to, but I never got the chance.  I probably would’ve appreciated it more.  I dedicate this movie to Pete Cangelosi, Timmy Flotte and David DeLuca.  Happy birthday Petey.

Fun fact (that we think is true):

GPK cards are worth more than baseball cards.  Funny enough, I could see that.

#39 - Videodrome (1983)

Kind of a shit movie.  I loved the special effects though.  The plot was kind of blah and the acting wasn’t anything great, but all in all was a decent piece of crap, cheesy sci-fi.  I especially liked that Cronenberg was at the helm.

#38 - The High Cost of Living (2010)

:::Spoilers:::

If you anything about me, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Zach Braff.  I had seen the trailer for this movie and I was kind of iffy about it.  Being an expectant father, I was very uncomfortable watching some of this.  It really struck an emotional chord.  It was good though.  I was happy to see the outcome of everything.  I was happy he was ready to change his life.  That he was touched by something most just ignore.  And I was also happy to see that he was ready to do what was right at the end.

#37 - The Lady and the Monster (1944)

Ehhhh.  This was kind of lame.  I really like classic horror movies, but this was just stupid.  The characters were lame as was the plot.  Like I said.  Ehhhh.

#36 - True Grit (2010)

I am a huge fan of Jeff Bridges.  I honestly consider him one of my favorite actors.  I had been wanting to see this movie for quite some time.  It was enjoyable, but I wouldn’t say amazing.  It just kind of was.  It seemed rushed.

#35 - From Paris with Love (2010)

John Travolta. Can you really hate him? He’s amazing with a giant “f**king” in between!  The movie was good.  Not great, but good.  It was a simple story with plain characters and it was okay.  The big man, J to the mother f**kin’ T made this movie great.  It’s impossible to hate him!  He can make any movie look good.  It’s probably why I own Battlefield Earth.  No, I’m kidding.  But seriously… why the hell do I own Battlefield Earth?  Everyone knows you should own The Experts before Battlefield Earth.  Christ, even Michael was better than Battlefield Earth.

#34 - Para entrar a vivir [To Let] (2006)
Creepy flick.  I enjoyed it, even though the couple are complete morons.  It really annoys me when people just make random mistakes and wind up regretting them.  I’ve been watching quite a bit of foreign lately.  I’m not complaining.  I’m actually glad.  It’s good to see some original movies.

#33 - The Oxford Murders (2008)

Well, this was interesting.  A whodunit in arithmetic.  Now I have always been a huge fan of Elijah Wood, but I wasn’t too impressed with his “called in” acting.  John Hurt was… John Hurt.  Burn Gorman was absolutely annoying.  As my cousin said, “It looks as if I’m watching Kung Fu theater when he speaks.”  Then, of course, we have Leonor Watling.  If you don’t remember her, go back a few movies.  She’s the hottie that I enjoyed in The Baby’s Room.  Noice.  Anyway, okay movie.  Kinda slow.  I really didn’t like that it dealt with math as much as it did.  I think it would have liked to be a great murder mystery, but just didn’t cut it.

#32 - The Book of Eli (2010)

Spoiled!  Someone told me about Eli and spoiled the movie for me.  It was incredibly slow.  I wish there were a few more action scenes.  He was pretty badass, but never really got the chance to show it.  And the trailer was very misleading, what with Mila Kunis saying, “Teach me,” and then throwing a grenade.  I was ready for her to be taught in the ways of Denzel Washington badassery!  Either way, the movie was slow, a bit dull and could have had more oomph where it needed it.

#31 - The Girl Who Played With Fire (2009)

I really liked The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.  I’ve heard nothing but good things about Hornet’s Nest, but in order to watch that, I felt I needed to watch this.  It was very slow for the most part, but decent.  Still love Noomi Rapace!  She is the hotness.
